Met dit programma kan je de kopieer- en regiobeveiligingen van dvd's weghalen zodat deze in Windows zonder foutmeldingen kunnen worden geopend. Ook kan je met AnyDVD verplichte delen, zoals bijvoorbeeld de copyright- en FBI-waarschuwingen, over te slaan.
De snelheid van de drive kan ook worden gewijzigd, om zo het lawaai tijdens het afspelen van de dvd te verminderen.
De licentiekosten van AnyDVD bedragen helaas $49 en voor de versie die ook hd-dvd's ondersteund zal nog eens $30 extra betaald moeten worden.
